On March 3, the Formula 1 leadership terminated the contract for the Russian Grand Prix. The agreement was valid until 2025. On March 5, the American Formula 1 team Haas terminated the agreement with the Russian racer Nikita Mazepin, and also ceased cooperation with the Russian company Uralkali, which sponsored it.

The International Olympic Committee recommended that federations prevent Russian and Belarusian athletes from participating in competitions against the backdrop of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine. After that, international federations in various sports imposed sanctions on domestic athletes.
