The Gymnastic Ethics Foundation opened a disciplinary case against Russian Ivan Kulyak
A disciplinary case has been opened against Russian gymnast Ivan Kulyak. This was reported to RIA Novosti by the head of the Russian Artistic Gymnastics Federation (FSGR) Vasily Titov.
“The International Federation referred the Kulyak case to the Independent Gymnastic Ethics Foundation (FIG), to its disciplinary commission, where they opened the case. It is unlikely that they will delay the process of considering this case, ”Titov said. He noted that there are no exact dates for the decision and the timing of consideration.
On March 6, Kulyak applied the letter Z on the form before the awards ceremony at the World Cup in Qatar. With this symbol on his chest, the athlete received a bronze medal won in exercises on parallel bars.
On March 4, the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) suspended Russian athletes from international tournaments. The decision came into force on March 7, so the Russians took part in the World Cup in Qatar as neutral athletes.
