Russian Nikita Mazepin called his dismissal from the Haas Formula 1 team unfair
Russian racing driver Nikita Mazepin appreciated the decision of the American Formula 1 team Haas to terminate his contract. His words are quoted by Interfax.
The 23-year-old athlete admitted that before the termination of the contract, the team did not contact him. The Russian called the Haas decision painful and unfair. Mazepin drew attention to the fact that the International Automobile Federation allowed the Russians to speak in a neutral status.
On March 7, team owner Gene Haas revealed the reason why the team decided to get rid of the Russian. According to the functionary, Haas faced criticism for cooperating with a pilot from Russia.
Haas terminated Mazepin’s contract on March 5. The team also announced the termination of cooperation with the Russian company Uralkali, which sponsored it.
