Named the amount of payments for won medals at the Games-2022 Muscovites

The winners of the 2022 Olympics from Moscow will receive an additional 4 million rubles

Moscow athletes who won medals at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing will receive additional payments from the city authorities. It is reported by TASS.

Mayor of the city Sergei Sobyanin signed a resolution according to which the winners of the Games will be paid 4 million rubles each, and silver and bronze medalists – 2.5 and 1.7 million, respectively. Coaches who participated in the training of athletes who became winners of the Olympics will receive 50 percent of these amounts.

The city authorities emphasized that Moscow athletes won 41 percent of the total number of medals of the Russian team at the Beijing Olympics. Athletes from the capital won three gold, six silver and four bronze medals. The government of the country before the start of the Games approved the prize money for all Russian medalists: 4 million rubles for gold, 2.5 million for silver and 1.7 million for bronze awards.

Winter Games 2022 were held from 4 to 20 February. The Russians in the total number of medals (32) took second place in the team standings. Athletes from Russia have won six gold, 12 silver and 14 bronze medals.
