World Cup qualifier play-off between Scotland and Ukraine postponed to June

The International Football Federation (FIFA) has postponed the 2022 World Cup qualifier in Qatar between Scotland and Ukraine to June. This was reported on the website of the International Football Federation (FIFA).

The match was supposed to take place on March 24 in Glasgow. At the same time, another semi-final meeting between the national teams of Wales and Austria will be held as scheduled.

Earlier it was reported that FIFA decided to postpone the 2022 World Cup play-off between the teams of Ukraine and Scotland for the summer. The most likely date for the meeting is June 4th. The Scottish Football Association has already received the notification.

On March 8, FIFA announced that the Polish national team had automatically qualified for the World Cup qualifiers. In the last play-off, the Polish team will meet with the best in the Sweden-Czech Republic pair.

Due to FIFA and UEFA sanctions, the Russian national football team lost its chances to participate in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The team was supposed to participate in the play-offs for reaching the World Cup. National teams of Poland, Czech Republic and Sweden expressed their unwillingness to play with Russian players.
