The so far unbeaten Wis³a All in! Games Kraków re-entered the server to confirm its dominance in Group A. Behind her backs, the x-comers AGO and Ungentium clashed in a fierce match. Meanwhile, further troubles haunt MAD DOG’S PACT. What exactly happened on Monday’s struggle of the fourth round of the ESL Polish Championships and how has the hierarchy in the first of the six participants changed?
4th round of the ESL Polish Championship (Monday)
MAD DOG’S PACT 10:16 Forsaken
At the start, there will be a match between the teams that have not yet scored a full set of points. MAD DOG’S PACT and Forsaken are at the bottom of their six so far, so both sides wanted to break it today.
The choice of the map fell on Inferno. PACT approached the match in a significantly changed line-up – Mateusz “TOAO” Zawistowski and Adrian “SAYN” £ ± czyñski made their debuts. New faces also appeared in Forsaken, as Piotr “blacktear5” Kasiñski and Wojciech “bensty” Duda joined the team. And it is these two who largely contributed to the success of the less favored team. The Forsaken practically controlled the situation from the very beginning. PACT, although a favorite, could not completely keep up with their rivals. The first half went very one-sided. After switching sides, PACT won the pistol round, and a light of hope appeared somewhere, but Forsaken quickly regained stabilization. Thus, there was a small surprise at the very start of the queue. PACT is in more and more trouble, being at the bottom end of Group A.
Wis³a All in! Games Kraków 16: 2 ESCA Gaming
The Vistula River imposed tough competition conditions from the very beginning of the Polish Championships. “Biała Gwiazda” was the only team in the field without a defeat, collecting 8 out of 9 possible points. ESCA could also be satisfied with the first three rounds in its performance. Nobody treated them as favorites, and they were placed third, just behind the back of the Ungentium.
The result of the veto was the “Polish” Mirage. So the map is very universal, liked by many teams. But what happened after the first bullets were fired, it was indeed a shocking scenario. The Vistula River simply massacred the enemy. No illusions, no pity – pure domination. The favorite was very hard to beat, giving ESCE only two points throughout the match. A meaningful summary of the match is the statistics of Szymon “sk1tta” Rogoziñski, who did not eliminate anyone and was able to shoot himself seventeen times (0-17).
x-com AGO 13:16 Ungentium
The Vistula did not stumble, so the stake of the clash between x-kom AGO – Ungentium was “only” to step behind the back of the leader in the group table. So far, AGO has played very unstable. Four points are achievements that are a bit endearing to the “Hawks”, but they had a chance to reflect today at Ungentium in a very important match.
Teams clashed at Vertigo. Contrary to the two previous meetings, it was balanced from the beginning. The new AGO sniper, Roland “ultimate” Tomkowiak, had a great introduction to the map. Although these were only his first touches in fresh colors, he did not disappoint, and at times even pulled his colleagues out of trouble. The Hawks escaped a bit after the second half started. The straight path to victory seemed to be open, but then the Ungentium bounced back in the out-of-the-box shopping round. Playing on the attacking side, AGO did not have a stable economy, so the scale of the initiative was quickly tilted to the side of the rival. Ungentium has reached the magic ceiling of fifteen rounds and AGO is placed against the wall. Then, quite unexpectedly, Szymon “kRaSnaL” Mrozek shot the ace. However, the spectacular play did not help much. Ungentium reached its final point a moment later, keeping it vice-leader for Group A.
