Russian woman Dina Averina commented on winning the silver medal in ribbon exercises at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Japan. Her words are quoted by TASS.
“At the moment it is very difficult to comment on something, since such a situation has already happened, and we remember it very well. So I don’t want to say anything on this topic, ”she compared her defeat at the World Cup and the Olympic Games in Tokyo. She stressed that at both tournaments she did everything possible to win.
Earlier on October 28, Averina lost 0.05 points to the representative of Belarus Alina Gornosko in ribbon exercises. In third place is her sister Arina. The medal became the fourth for Dina Averina at this World Cup. Prior to this, the athlete won the exercises with a hoop, ball and clubs. Thus, she remains a 16-time world champion.
At the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Dina Averina became the second in the individual all-around, losing 0.15 points to the Israeli Lina Ashram. In Russia, the refereeing at the tournament was considered biased.
