The Russian journalist presents his version of the Krychowiak story. “He persuaded no one”

Things aren’t going well on the team. The leading Russian team is struggling with many problems. The club’s owner, Sergei Galitsky, does not have the funds to pay the players’ salaries. His accounts in European banks were frozen due to Western sanctions after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

What did Grzegorz Krychowiak do? Russian media presents their version

In recent days, the media wrote about the fact that foreign players from Krasnodar decided to leave the club. He was the first to come out who started talks with activists on the premature termination of the contract.

The Pole was said to persuade other foreigners to behave in a similar manner. As a result, Krasnodar bosses released a statement last week in which they announced the suspension of contracts with eight players. However, Krychowiak was missing from this group.

Konstatny Genich, a Match TV expert, argues that the situation in Krasnodar was slightly different than the journalists presented. In his opinion, Krychowiak was not the leader of the “rebellion” and the players’ behavior cannot be treated as an “escape”.

– I asked one of the leaders of Krasnodar about it. As far as I know, Krychowiak did not persuade anyone. The foreign players did not run away, but left, and they made the decision together with the club. It even seems to me that the initiative came not from them, but from activists – he announced in the program “There is a topic!” on Match TV.

– As far as I understand, it is also not a question of finance. The club has a financial cushion to pay on time. Now families are in tension, the airport is closed, people are worried, ‘he added.

Grzegorz Krychowiak has offers from other clubs

The future of Grzegorz Krychowiak is still not clear. The footballer still has an important contract with Krasnodar. Perhaps the Pole will be helped by FIFA, which will implement new solutions. The world federation may extend the transfer window and give players playing in Russia the tools to terminate contracts.

Krychowiak cannot complain about the lack of interest. Jakub Kwiatkowski, a spokesman for the Polish Football Association, said in one of the recent interviews that the midfielder has a very serious offer. Last Sunday, in turn, they found their way to the media. The club in Warsaw has already established contact with the player.
