Poles are burning their T-shirts. The stance of the Russian esports organization outraged the community

In one moment, the organization, which for years had a special place in the hearts of Poles, became the object of their insults. The intricately constructed image was ruined by one, exceptionally light-hearted statement. Virtus.pro made a lot of money, but the reaction of the community is hardly surprising. The organization’s position is simply vulgar.

Hypocrisy and hypocrisy

On Friday, the organization issued a statement in which it commented on the decision to exclude it from individual competences due to its connections with enterprises related to the Russian government. Virtus.pro alleged that the suspension is completely unfair. The mere defense of one’s arguments would not, however, arouse such widespread controversy, if not for the exceptionally tasteless line of defense adopted by the brand.

The Virtusi put themselves in the role of a victim. In their opinion, they encountered “fighting culture”, which in the context of the events taking place in Ukraine sounds simply embarrassing. At the same time, the organization pointed out that it was not affiliated with the government in any way, which was also largely untrue due to the aforementioned business partners.

So far, Virtus.pro has been banned from all scheduled tournaments by BLAST. The ESL will allow the squad to play if they appear in neutral colors, and not under the banner of “Bears” and the Russian flag.

Polish fans are furious

The behavior of Virtus.pro strongly offended the Polish fans. Over the years, the organization invested in Poles, thanks to which there was still great sympathy for them on the Vistula. Meanwhile, the message of the statement is simply vulgar and unacceptable, which was perfectly emphasized by the fans themselves.

There was a huge wave of hate on “Niedźwiedzie” in social media. Some Polish fans even recorded videos of ostentatiously smoking gadgets related to the team. The symbolic destruction of caps, scarves and T-shirts is all too eloquent.

Other Russian organizations faced a similar situation to that of Virtusi. However, it was possible to leave it with class, as shown by Team Spirit. His players at the last GAMERS GALAXY: Invitational Series Dubai 2022 appeared in neutral colors, wearing T-shirts with the word “PEACE”. This was met with a positive reaction from Internet users who warmly praised the organization’s behavior and maturity.
