The head of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics Irina Viner-Usmanova commented on the defeat of Dina Averina at the 2021 World Championships, TASS reports.
Viner-Usmanova saw in the refereeing of exercises with a ribbon at the World Cup a repetition of the situation that happened at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, when Averina lost to Israeli Lina Ashram in the all-around final. The tape was the last kind of program and the Ashram lost the item.
“Dina made the ribbon brilliantly, but she got 0.05 less than the other girl. But this is not her assessment, since the tape, I repeat, was made brilliantly, and all the difficulties were fulfilled, ”said Viner-Usmanova.
Earlier on October 28, Averina won silver in the ribbon exercise at the World Cup, the first was the representative of Belarus Alina Gornosko. In third place is Averina’s sister Arina.
The medal became the fourth for Dina Averina at this tournament. Prior to this, the athlete won the exercises with a hoop, ball and clubs. Thus, she remains a 16-time world champion.
