The International Boxing Association (IBA) has banned Russians from participating in international tournaments. This will be announced on the website of the organization.
The organization suspended athletes and officials, including referees, belonging to the national federations of Russia or Belarus. In cases where this will not be possible in a short time for organizational or legal reasons, they are only allowed to participate as neutral athletes.
On February 28, the International Olympic Committee recommended that sports federations prevent Russian and Belarusian athletes from participating in competitions. According to the statement of the organization, the countries violated the Olympic truce.
After that, international federations in various sports imposed sanctions on domestic athletes. In particular, Russia was left without international competitions in football, volleyball, hockey and athletics.
