The hooligans of the team from the Albanian capital have chosen the flag “Ujqërit e Dëborës”, which in Polish means “Snow Wolves” (the nickname of a group of fans from Korcza). There were blows.

The club from the Albanian capital made a statement

“KS Tirana distances itself from the incidents that took place before the start of the match. Thanks to the excellent organization of both federations, a very exciting match was played, which the players of Skënderbeu Korcza deservedly won” – began the statement.

“KS Tirana strongly condemns the reactions on the official website of the Skënderbeu club to the labeling of our team with incitement to violence and shameful provocations, for which there is no place in the beautiful game it is,” reads the club’s statement from the capital.

Albanian federation responds to the scandal

The Albanian Volleyball Federation also reacted to these events, urging clubs, especially Skënderbeu, to distance themselves from violence and offensive language. “FSHV regrets the unpleasant event before the start of the Tirana-Skënderbeu match. Volleyball in the very construction of the game is a quiet sport, and events of this kind leave a bitter aftertaste. We regret to say that in recent weeks this phenomenon has become disturbing, so we appeal to everyone participating teams in this period of the season, because we have entered a hot phase and the emotions are even greater “- we read.

Congratulating the Tirana club’s reaction to immediately calming the aggressive, FSHV also called “to distance ourselves from violence and to withdraw from offensive, defamatory and unethical language.” FSHV is determined to communicate the spirit of fair play together, and any attempted provocation that harms the sport’s image will be subject to penalties to preserve the quality of volleyball for which we have worked as a federation, ”reads FSHV’s statement.
