With the classification, Everton face the Crystal Palace in the next phase of the tournament. The first half was dominated by the home team, who had 80% possession of the ball and kicked six times against an opponent who didn’t even finish during the first 45 minutes of the game. The team, however, couldn’t swing the net and the initial stage ended in a 0-0 tie.

At the end of the game, in the 39th minute, Townsend received the ball from the left side and lifted the ball in the area. Rondón appeared from behind the defense and headed towards the goal, extending it to Everton. Ashbby-Hammond, the opposing goalkeeper, came to defend, but the ball had already crossed the goal line. End of game and victory of Frank Lampard’s team by 2-0.
