An esports organization from Ukraine is suspending its activities. “HellRaisers can’t continue to run”

Russia’s aggression against Ukraine has another consequence for esports. Debates have continued in recent days and the first steps have been taken with regard to the exclusion of Russian organizations from future competitions. However, the war also affects Ukrainian brands, which are more and more often forced to make drastic decisions.

Suspension to be canceled

HellRaisers is a recognizable esports organization from Ukraine. Over the years, she has been involved in various titles, such as CS: GO, Dota 2, Hearthstone and World of Tanks. She has been active on stage since 2014.

From the beginning of aggression, HR tried to invariably act according to the assumed plan, but for obvious reasons it became more and more difficult day by day. The organization had no choice. All that was left for her to do was to suspend its activities.

The HellRaisers project cannot continue to operate in the present situation and will be put on hold until the end of the war. All staff will hold their positions, we will support them and pay them a salary.

HellRaisers has shut down its CS: GO division. The Dota 2 team will continue to compete under a new name chosen by the competitors.

Troubles of Ukrainian players

War makes it practically impossible for people to function normally. For esports players it has huge complications in regular training and participating in tournaments. Unfortunately, there are more and more incidents standing in their way.

In recent days, several organizations withdrew their Ukrainian players who remained in their home country. At the moment, their safety is of the utmost importance, which employers understand very well.

Polish players, who happened to meet Ukrainians in various matches, also had similar cases. Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas wrote about his experiences.

I played with two young Ukrainians. Suddenly one started screaming, “Pause, pause, too many explosions!” F * cked war. Poland turned to dust once, let’s not let Ukraine do it.

The Czech Sinners had to interrupt their meeting with the Ukrainian team, as the rival’s players were in danger. The future of esports in the country of our eastern neighbors is in doubt.
