Moisés Caicedo scores his first goal with Belgium’s Beerschot

The Ecuador midfielder played his first match valid for the Belgian Cup on Wednesday.

The Ecuadorian international Moisés Caicedo debuted his scoring account with the Beerschot jersey in a match of the round of 32 of the Belgian Cup against the Francs Borains team.

Caicedo, 19 years old and a starter in the national team that disputes the South American World Cup in Qatar 2022, started in the starting eleven of the Antwerp city team and was substituted in the 69th minute.

An early goal from Marius Noubissi, before the end of 2 minutes into the game, put Beerschot up on the scoreboard.

Caicedo doubled the lead at 60 through a counterattack led by Noubissi and Holzhauser.

It was the first conquest of the tricolor midfielder in five games with the purple elastic (four for the Jupiler Pro League tournament and one for the Belgian Cup).

Caicedo replaced by Bolivian international Ramiro Vaca in the 69th minute, Beerschot scored the third goal through Rapahel Holzhauser (78), and Vaca himself (93) would manage to sign the fourth and last after a wonderful assist from Sebaoui.

Caicedo will surely be one of the players cited by Gustavo Alfaro for dates 13 and 14 of the South American qualifying round for the 2022 World Cup.

These matches will be played between November 11 and 16, with Ecuador at home to Venezuela and visiting Chile. (D)
