Borussia Dortmund move and aim for Chelsea forward to replace Haaland

Borussia Dortmund are aware that Erling Haaland will leave next summer and are already moving their pieces to look for a replacement. according to Sky Sports from Germany, the club are eyeing Chelsea forward Timo Werner.

Haaland, the “yellow comet”, is the dream of Joan Laporta, president of Barcelona. The Norwegian has a release clause of 75 million euros (R$ 429 million) and has also aroused interest from Real Madrid and Manchester City.

Dortmund has already tried to resume relations with the athlete and try to renew his contract, which ends in June 2024, but the player’s representatives refused all.

The German club’s search for Timo Werner dates back to last year, when rumors that Erling could leave the team began to surface. The forward has already played in the Bundesliga when he defended RB Leipzig, before settling with Chelsea.

In England, he is not managing to have a sequence of good performances and is not preferred in the team’s ownership.

One of the obstacles in the negotiation with Borussia must be his salary, but conversations and arrangements must happen from now on. The athlete receives, per season, around 15 million euros (R$ 85.8 million).
