The football world has known its first victims during the war being fought between Russia and Ukraine. Vitalii Sapylo (21 years old) and Dmytro Martynenko (25 years old), both Ukrainian players, were the first reported mid-football losses.
The information came from Twitter of Fifpro (International Federation of Professional Footballers), on Tuesday afternoon.

“Our thoughts are with the families, friends and teammates of young Ukrainian footballers Vitalii Sapylo (21) and Dmytro Martynenko (25), the first reported football losses of this war. May both of them rest in peace,” it wrote.
Vitalii Sapylo and Dmytro Martynenko participated in lower leagues in Ukrainian football. The first belonged to Karpaty, while the second defended FC Hostomel, from the second division. Both were serving Ukraine in the war.
