One of the main names of the Colombian national team, midfielder James Rodriguez may be ready to return to European football. Currently at Al-Rayyan, from Qatar, the midfielder declared in a live on Twitch that he does not rule out a possible return to Everton.
“It’s a possibility! If they want me, I’m totally open to that”, declared the player, when asked about defending the London team again.
James left Everton in September 2021, when he was sold to the Qatari club for an amount of eight million euros. The Colombian has a contract with the new club until June 2024, but since arriving he has played just 13 games and scored five goals.
In his time at Everton, he played 26 times and scored six times. Before, he had already passed through Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Monaco, Porto, among others.
The athlete had a good time in European football, but constant physical problems hampered his progress on the old continent and he was losing ground.
Recently, James’ name has been linked to a possible interest from Turkey’s Galatasaray, but nothing has come to fruition.
