Performing in competitions with spectators delivers a thrill to the participants of the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Japan, said Russian woman Dina Averina. Her words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
The athlete, who won two gold medals of the tournament on October 20, thanked the fans for their support. “We go, get high, perform. We try to enter the flow and do as we can. The day is over, thank God, tomorrow is a new day, we will work further and even better, ”Averina commented on her victorious performances.
Earlier on Wednesday, October 27, the head of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics Irina Viner-Usmanova reacted to the result of Dina Averina. She stated that gold medals do not guarantee the participation of an athlete in the Olympic Games in Paris, since everything changes every day.
Earlier in the day, Dina Averina became the first in the hoop and ball exercises, which allowed her to become the 15-time world champion. Her twin sister won a silver medal in the ball routine.
