Former São Paulo player David Neres confirmed this Monday the departure of Brazilian players from Ukraine. Earlier, Shakhtar Donetsk had reported that the athletes had managed to leave the country, which is under attack from Russia.

After the relief, David Neres manifested in his Instagram and commented on the “days of great tension” experienced by Brazilians, who were concentrated in a hotel in the capital Kiev.

“In the last few days we have been experiencing very tense days in Ukraine and moments that we do not want to go through, that we did not imagine that one day we would go through. , who ensured our entire escape safely to the city of Chernivtsi, to the Brazilian Junior Moraes, who in all the meetings we had at the Opera Hotel helped us in everything, and to the Ukrainian Football Federation, which guided us safely through the roads and most safe the moment we managed to get out of the hotel,” he wrote.

“Thank God we are safe with our family and when everything passes we will solve our situation, which today is of no importance in the face of the war we witnessed there”, he added.

According to Shakhtar, players from Dynamo Kiev joined and also crossed the Ukrainian border. They traveled for about 16 hours to Moldova and from there they left for Bucharest, Romania, where they must take a flight to Brazil.

The Italian coach of the Donetsk club, Roberto de Zerbi, was also “happy to return” to his country, in a video published on Instagramin which he appears surrounded by his technical team.

Striker David Neres joined Shakhtar Donetsk earlier this year. The player left Ajax, from Holland, where he had the company of Antony, another athlete revealed by São Paulo.
