The 19-year-old Villarreal midfielder kicked off his show on 14 minutes when he headed for a Pervis Estupinan cross from the left. Six minutes later, Yeremi Pino raised to 2-0 after being the smartest in the mess in the penalty area after a corner kick.

Just before the break, the hosts’ footballer completed a classic hat-trick. Pino scored a close-range goal after Diego Lopez deflected the ball from Etienna ‘Capoue’s shot. Eight minutes after the break, the 19-year-old hit again. This time the Spaniard received a pass from Arnaut Danjuma, passed Lopez and kicked the ball into the empty goal.

Four goals of a player in one match!

In the 65th minute, Keidi Bare scored an honorable goal for the visitors, and in added time Boulaye Dia decided the score.

For Pino, these were goals number 4, 5, 6 and 7 this season. The 19-year-old played in 33 matches in which he had four assists. The two-time Spain international has been playing for Villarreal since 2017.

After 26 matches, Villarreal is placed 5th in the table with 42 points. Villarreal is down three points to the fourth Atletico, which is in the position of being promoted to the Champions League. Espanyol is 14th with eight points ahead of the relegation zone.
