The duel of the Russian fighter of the mixed style (MMA) Alexander Volkov in London was under threat due to the situation in Ukraine. It is reported by MMA Fighting.
The international situation may prevent the arrival of a number of Russian fighters in London to participate in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) tournament. MMA Fighting reported that, according to a number of sources, Volkov may have problems with a visa.
The duel with the participation of the Russian heavyweight should lead the event in London. Volkov’s opponent is Tom Espinall. The UFC may reschedule the fight to another date. In addition to Volkov, Timur Valiev, Shamil Abdulrakhimov and Sergey Pavlovich should take part in the UFC tournament.
The UFC tournament with the participation of Volkov is scheduled for March 19. In his last fight in October 2021, the Russian defeated the Pole Marcin Tybura.
