the slovenian Tadej Pogacar (UAE Emirates) left nothing to chance and imposed his law on the climb to Jadel Hafeet, winning the last stage of the Tour UAE and revalidating the title won last year.
Everything was prepared for the battle of Jadel Hafeet, an 11 kilometer climb at 6.7% incline, at the end of the scheduled 148 kilometres.
The British Adam Yates (Ineos)did not miss the party, either Biscayan Pello Bilbao (Bahrain) and Portuguese Joao Almeida (UAE). Yates was the first to attack with 3 kilometers to go, but Pogacar neutralized the maneuver, and the four runners reached the final 2,000 meters together.
One kilometer to go Yates attacked again. Almeida could not follow him and neither could Bilbao. Pogacar held on and remained the only claimants to victory.
Pogacar entered the last corner first and had enough legs to leave Yates behindwin the stage without trouble and put on the red jersey of winner of the test.
In the general classification Adam Yates and Pello Bilbao have seconded the Slovenian on the podium.
