Ukraine accused of violating WADA anti-doping rules

The National Anti-Doping Center of Ukraine (NADCU) violated the World Anti-Doping Code and the International Standard for Testing and Investigation (ISTI). This was reported on the website of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

WADA accused NADTSU of the fact that Ukrainian athletes could have been warned in advance about doping tests. The agency claims that since 2012, the center has been collecting samples in advance, “organizing testing of athletes upon prior notification.” It is noted that the rules were violated before major competitions.

This investigation will be taken into account by WADA management. The sanctions that it will entail are not reported.

It is the Athlete’s responsibility to arrive at the Doping Control Station immediately after being notified of the Doping Check and remain there until the complete sample collection procedure is completed. Most often, doping officers start work in the early morning.
