After the 2022 Qatar World Cup, DT Tite will leave the Brazilian team

Tite said this Friday that he will close his “cycle” at the head of the Brazilian team once his participation in the Qatar-2022 World Cup ends, to which the five-time champions are already qualified.

“I will (be in charge) until the end of the World Cup. I don’t have to lie here,” said the 60-year-old coach in an interview with the program Editorial of the Chanel SporTV.

In command of the Seleção since June 2016, Adenor Leonardo Bacchi, better known as Tite, will try to end his term by winning the sixth world crown in the tournament that will be played between November and December.

“I am very focused on my work. I am aware of the cycles. I am a guy who had the opportunity to be here, like so many other high-level professionals who have the ability” to lead Brazil, he added.

Tite took the reins of a Brazil that stumbled, under the command of Dunga, in the South American qualifier for the 2018 World Cup in Russia and that against all odds was eliminated in the first phase of the Copa América Centenario played in the United States in 2016.

Driven by his triumphs with Corinthians de Sao Paulo, with whom he won the Brazilian leagues in 2011 and 2015 and the Libertadores and the Club World Cup in 2012, the experienced coach straightened the path of Canarinha by classifying it as leader of the regional qualifying round Russia.

In that World Cup he fell in the quarterfinals with Belgium, guiding a litter that included Neymar, but he got even a little bit even by winning the Copa América held in Brazil a year later.

Although he has ridden to Qatar, with his team leading the qualifier undefeated (twelve wins, three draws), his team’s football is questioned for its lack of brilliance, despite obtaining record results.

His figure also suffered cracks for having lost the final of the Copa América-2021 with his arch-rival, Lionel Messi’s Argentina, at the Maracana. (D)
