After winning the Supercopa do Brasil, against Flamengo, last Sunday, Atlético-MG turned its attention to the other competitions of the season, such as the Campeonato Mineiro, the Libertadores, the Copa do Brasil and the Brasileirão.
However, the Rooster may suffer a loss in the squad for the dispute of these competitions. Midfielder Zaracho, who is only 23 years old and is Argentine, may be leaving the club.
According to information from journalist Jorge Nicola, Bayer Leverkusen probed the player’s situation and may submit a proposal of R$ 107 million for his pass.
As the federative rights of Zaracho are divided between Atlético-MG and Racing, Galo would keep 50% of the value of the transaction, if the deal happened.
The Argentine was signed by the Minas Gerais club in 2020. Atlético paid six million dollars to Racing for 50% of the athlete’s rights.
Since arriving in Belo Horizonte, the midfielder has played 75 games, scored 14 goals and provided seven assists, in addition to having won the Brazilian Championship and the Copa do Brasil with the team, in 2021, and the Supercup, that year.
However, Zaracho has only played five games this season and is currently recovering from thigh pain. Atlético-MG faces Pouso Alegre, on Saturday, at 16:30, for the eighth round of the Campeonato Mineiro.
