Former Santos striker, Kaio Jorge undergoes surgery and should be out of the field for 8 months

After suffering a serious injury to his right knee, former Santos striker Kaio Jorge underwent surgery this Thursday. According to Juventus, the recovery time is eight months.

“This morning, at the Sedes Sapientiae clinic, Kaio Jorge underwent surgery after a rupture of the patellar tendon in his right knee. The surgery, performed by Prof. Roberto Rossi in the presence of the Juventus team doctor, Dr. Marco Freschi, was an absolute success. . The recovery time is approximately 8 months”, announced the Italian team.

The injury occurred this past Wednesday, in a game played by Velha Senhora’s under-23 team. The club reported that the tests carried out detected a rupture in the patellar tendon of the right knee.

At just 20 years old, Kaio has been struggling to establish himself in Juve’s main group. In all, the youngster entered the field on 11 opportunities and still hasn’t saved his goal. The last time he was on the pitch for coach Massimiliano Allegri’s team was on January 18, against Sampdoria.

Kaio Jorge left Santos in July 2021, in a negotiation that generated around R$ 18.5 million for the club. During the last Brasileirão, the boy made a controversial post no Twitterwhich generated revolt from Santos on social networks.
