Four-time Olympic champion Alexander Tikhonov shared his opinion about the Norwegian athletes. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
“I have a negative attitude towards Norwegians. All the time squabbles from them – both in biathlon and skiing. Only from the Norwegian side!” Tikhonov said. He also noted that he is not worried about the decision of the Norwegian skier Johannes Klebo not to participate in competitions in Russia. “There will be no Klebo in Tyumen – there will be less nasty things. Let him sit at home and think, since he doesn’t want to participate, ”said the former biathlete.
On February 21, Tikhonov spoke about the possible transition of Russian skier Alexander Bolshunov to biathlon. He did not appreciate the chances of such a development of events. “Biathlon is a serious discipline, a military-applied sport, heavy. And Sasha, in my opinion, and so everything is in order, and he simply does not need it, ”said Tikhonov.
The stage of the World Cup in cross-country skiing in Tyumen should be held from 18 to 22 March. The International Ski Federation (FIS) has stated that if there are any changes to the current competition calendar, the FIS will announce it immediately.
