The issue of holding the next round of the Russian Football Championship is being worked out. So the Russian Football Union (RFU) and the Russian Premier League (RPL) spoke about the possible postponement of matches, RIA Novosti reports.
They noted that consultations are being held in connection with the suspension of airports in Krasnodar and Rostov-on-Don. “More detailed information will be published in the near future,” the RPL said.
The 19th round of the Russian Championship will be the first after the winter break. His matches are due to start on Saturday, February 26th. A day later Rostov will host Wings of the Soviets at home. On the same day, Krasnodar will face Lokomotiv at home.
On February 24, all flights were suspended at the airports of Krasnodar, Sochi and Anapa. It was also reported that against the backdrop of a military special operation to protect the Donbass, all flights from the Rostov Platov airport were canceled.
