Warsaw hits Mioduski. “It’s unacceptable. We’ve been deceived.”

“D. Mioduski has sold 100% of shares in Legia Tenis to his private company for PLN 5,000” – a banner with this content appeared on “Żyleta”, the stand of the most ardent Legia fans, during the league match with Warta Poznań (0: 1). The president of Legia reacted and made a statement on this matter through the club.

“We have not been informed about it. It is unacceptable”

In it, the president of Legia suggested that the supporters’ banner contained false information that had been “deliberately misinterpreted”. “In order to simultaneously implement an ambitious management program of the complex and simultaneously implement multi-million investments, acquiring partners and external financing is required. It was the only reason for the formal transfer of Legia Tenis to another entity in which, like in Legia Warszawa SA, I own 100% of shares.

Warsaw councilors are shocked by this behavior of Dariusz Mioduski. – We signed a court lease agreement with Legia, the club was a guarantor of building a tennis brand for us. It is unacceptable for us to have the lease taken over by the club’s owner – says the vice-president of Warsaw, Renata Kaznowska. – Acting with good intentions for the benefit of the Warsaw sport, we have been deceived. We have full right and grounds to end cooperation with this entity –

– The provisions regarding the possibility of resale of shares are unfortunately not included in the contract – admitted Arkadiusz Kuranowski, director of the property office of the Capital City of Warsaw. – The contract was concluded on the basis of trust in the partner, Legia Warszawa. We did not use such provisions in similar lease agreements. There is no such standard. We have not found a contract with such provisions in any of the cities – he explained. – The contract has security for the further sublease and rental of the courts. Without the consent of the owner, i.e. the city, the entity with whom we signed the contract, this is not possible. Here, however, we have a situation in which there is no sub-lease, only the entire company with which we signed the contract has changed the owner. We were not informed about it. It is unacceptable – added Kaznowska.

The councilors also criticize Dariusz Mioduski’s statement.

– This statement, which has been published, is enigmatic. In addition to stipulating the lease amounts, that it will be 30 million in the 30-year lease, this statement does not substantively refer to the problem that we, as councilors and the city office, pay attention to. Namely, we allowed someone else to conclude a lease agreement for 30 years without a tender,

It is possible that the case will go to court.

– We are waiting for the formal response of the club owners to the letter provided by the office. If the case continues as now and there is no goodwill on the other hand, we will have to consider notifying the relevant law enforcement authorities. We, as councilors, do not have any investigative tools to judge whether something was legal or not. For now, we are giving the tip of the trust loan to settle the matter amicably. If not – law enforcement agencies will have to be interested in what was happening in this economic exchange – adds Szpądrowski.

The fans of Legia Warsaw have a long history with Dariusz Mioduski. In their eyes, the president of Legia is the main culprit behind the collapse of the club. At the next Legia match, in which he will play against in Warsaw, Legia fans announced a symbolic farewell to the club owner. “Buy a ticket, wear black and come to the game of Legia Warsaw. Your club needs you. We cannot go over the agenda with what is happening. Time to say goodbye” – wrote in the message “Unknown Perpetrators”, a group of ultras from Legia Warszawa .
