Bidasoa Irun achieved their first win in the European League against Pfadi Winterthur (32-28) in the match played this Tuesday in Artalek, corresponding to the second journey of said competition.
The first goal was late in arriving and fell in favor of the local team (1-0), although the visiting team drew (1-1) quickly. Then Bidasoa Irun achieved a two-goal lead, but Pfadi Wintehrtur again equaled the Clash (3-3). From that moment it was the team led by Jacobo Cuétara who prevailed on the court, dominated the game, and opened a gap on the scoreboard. In this way, the Irun team arrived at halftime with a favorable result of 16-10.
The home team kept their lead between six and seven goals for most of the second half. The Swiss did not give up and managed to keep the disadvantage from being scandalous. BIdasoa Irun relaxed in the final stretch and won the match by four goals (32-28).
