Alex Sandro has an injury after the Champions League game and will be re-evaluated by Juventus

A Juventus informed, this Wednesday, that the left side Alex Sandro had a left leg injury. In addition to him, Weston McKennie was also evaluated by the medical department after a tie with the Villarrealby 1 a 1for the first leg of the round of 16 of the Champions League.

The club published that, after undergoing radiological examinations, the Brazilian was diagnosed with a “low-grade injury to the soleus muscle of the left leg”. He will be re-evaluated in ten days and, thus, will miss his team in at least two appointments.

The American midfielder, in turn, presented a more serious condition after suffering a hard entry from Ecuador’s Pervis Estupiñán at the Estadio de la Cerámica. McKennie had a “compound fracture of the 2nd and 3rd metatarsals of the left foot” and is expected to recover in about two months.

To replace Alex Sandro, coach Massimiliano Allegri has only Luca Pellegrini as a direct player. Instead of McKennie, Arthur and Adrien Rabiot are the main options.

In addition to the injured athletes mentioned, Juve face a major injury problem. At the moment, six other players are away from the pitch: defenders Daniele Rugani and Giorgio Chiellini, wingers Federico Chiesa and Federico Bernardeschi and forwards Paulo Dybala and Kaio Jorge.
