English federation opens investigation into case of object thrown in Elanga

After the young Elanga, from Manchester United, being hit with an object while celebrating a goal, the FA (Football Association) opened an investigation into the case. This is another amid the increase in incidents of violence by fans in England.

The object was thrown by Leeds United fans after Fred’s goal in the Red Devils’ 4-2 victory for the English Premier League.

In January, five people were arrested in an FA Cup game between Crystal Palace and Millwall; Digne and Cash were hit by a bottle in a game between Aston Villa and Everton; Rudiger was hit by an object thrown by Tottenham fans in a match against Chelsea and fans of Manchester City invaded the field after a draw with Southamptom.

The following month, a fan invaded the pitch and shoved Nottingham Forest players in a victory against Leicester and police used pepper spray to contain Leeds fans in a clash with Everton.
