Russian figure skating coach Eteri Tutberidze summed up the results of the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing. She posted on her Instagram page.

Tutberidze noted the difficult sports path of the Olympic champion Anna Shcherbakova, who, according to the specialist, knows how to give more than she has. The coach compared the silver medalist of the Games Alexander Trusova with Gagarin, who takes everyone into space. She added that the 17-year-old figure skater proved that the impossible is possible.

Tutberidze called the heroes of the silver medalists of the Olympics Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov. “They didn’t give up, they turned to us for help and we are happy that we were able to organize the training process, gathering a team of like-minded people around, and at the most important start in the life of any athlete, the guys gave the best skates, showing their untapped potential, in which many no longer believed ‘ she wrote.

Tutberidze also commented on the doping scandal involving the Olympic champion in the team tournament Kamila Valieva. “The test that fell to Camila, our whole team needs to go through together. At the Beijing Olympics, Russian figure skaters won six medals. Kamila Valieva, Mark Kondratyuk, Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov, as well as Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Gallyamov became the winners of the team tournament. Sinitsina and Katsalapov also won silver in the individual dancers’ tournament, Mishina and Gallyamov won bronze in the sports couples competition.
