The female Laboral Kutxa confirms six signings

Since four years ago the Euskadi Foundation and Kutxa Labor join forces to tackle the project of a women’s team, this has not stopped taking firm steps with the intention of growing in the peloton and getting closer to its goal of being the Basque team of reference.

Looking ahead to 2022, the female Kutxa Labor will take a new step with six signings in their second season as a UCI Continental team and in which it trusts to consolidate itself in the category.

The six new faces are:

Mireia Arriazu (2003, Nafarroa-Ermitagaña), Yurani Blanco (1998, Bizkaia-Durango), Olatz Gabilondo (1999, Bolintxo Okindegia), Ariana Gilabert (2000, Bizkaia-Durango), Sandra Gutiérrez (2003, Bioracer-Metallo) and Amaia Lartitegi (2001, Bizkaia-Durango). Some incorporations with which the team is undoubtedly growing at all levels.

Yurani Blanco, Ariana Gilabert and Amaia Lartitegi have excelled in lower categories and they have international experience. Blanco was the Spanish sub23 time trial champion in 2019 and the Spanish junior runner-up in 2015; Gilabert was silver, in 2018, and bronze, in 2017, in the Junior Spanish Time Trial Championships; and Lartitegi was the Spanish junior champion in 2019. Sandra Gutiérrez, second in the Euskaldun in 2021, and Arriazu move up from the junior category.

Mireia Arriazu (2003), Irantzu Beloki (2000), Yurani Blanco (1998), Tania Calvo (1992), Elena Cuenca (1999), Idoia Eraso (2002), Garazi Estebez (2002), Olatz Gabilondo (1999), Xubane Garai (2002), Ariana Gilabert (2000), Sandra Gutiérrez (2003), Amaia Lartitegi (2001) and Usoa Ostolaza (1998). For her part, Paula Suárez will compete in other disciplines.
