Russian figure skaters Tarasova and Morozov win silver at the Olympics

Russian figure skaters Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov became the second in the competition of sports couples at the Olympic Games in Beijing. This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.

The domestic couple scored 239.25 points and won silver medals, losing to Chinese figure skaters Wenjing Sui and Han Cong. The third result was shown by another Russian couple – Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Gallyamov.

In the individual figure skating tournament in women’s skating at the Games, Russian Anna Shcherbakova became the winner. Silver was won by Alexandra Trusova. In men’s skating, the Russian team was left without winners.

Russian figure skaters became the best in team competitions. The success of the national team, in particular, was brought by the performance of Kamila Valieva, who became the first athlete in the history of women’s skating to perform a quadruple jump at the Games.
