The Carchense cyclist Richard Carapaz became this Friday the new champion of Ecuador in time trial mode.
The Locomotive, which started penultimate in Quito, recorded 47 minutes 21 seconds for the 38.2 kilometers of the circuit.

Carapaz succeeds Jorge Luis Montenegro at the top of the national time trialchampion of 2021 and who this day failed to defend his title, for whose challenge he started last.

The event, organized by the Ecuadorian Cycling Federation, will present the road test on Sunday.
