Russian figure skaters took second and third place in the short program at the Beijing Olympics. This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.

Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov finished second with 84.25 points. The top three also included Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Gallyamov. For the short program, they received 82.76 points.

The leaders were the Chinese Sui Wenjing and Han Cong. They scored 84.41 points and set a new world record. Another Russian couple Alexandra Boikova and Dmitry Kozlovsky were in fourth place with 78.59 points.

On February 17, Russian Anna Shcherbakova won Olympic gold with a total of 255.95 points. In second place is her compatriot Alexandra Trusova, in third is Japanese Kaori Sakamoto. The last Russian woman Kamila Valieva fell twice and made several mistakes, gaining 141.93 points. At the same time, she was in the lead after the short program.
