Lionel Messi donated an Argentina national team shirt for auction to benefit the children’s hospital in Buenos Aires

Albiceleste and Paris Saint-Germain striker Lionel Messi donated an autographed Argentina national team shirt that will be auctioned internationally for the benefit of the Pedro de Elizalde Children’s Hospital in his native country.

“It started as a dream, the solidarity of Lionel Messi made it a reality. We are excited and grateful, for us it is an honor and a pride to have the shirt signed by the best player in the world and to be able to carry out this international auction for benefit”, said Claudia Cavillón, president of the Association of Professionals of the General Children’s Hospital Pedro de Elizalde (ApElizalde), in a statement sent to Efe.

“The Elizalde Hospital is a transformation center for the lives of thousands of families throughout Argentina. From our entity we promote collaboration between people so that everyone has access to the necessary resources to improve the quality of life and give a child the opportunity to overcome barriers”, said Cavillón.

The shirt of the Argentine team with number 10, the last name Messi and the signature of the albiceleste captain will be auctioned from this Friday until next Tuesday, February 22 through the Instagram account of the Hospital Professionals Association (@apelizalde) .

Dr. Silvina Smith, general secretary of ApElizalde, said that the hospital provides “fair, equal and integrated medical care so that they have the opportunity to fully develop their abilities and grow up with health, love, respect and security.” (D)
