Mourinho could bring Roma into the fray to get Cristiano Ronaldo out of Manchester United

After rumors that Cristiano Ronaldo would be dissatisfied with his situation at Manchester United due to the conflicted relationship with the coach Ralf Rangnick, some European football clubs began to dream about the possibility of signing the Portuguese.

Recently, another club that could enter the fray for CR7 is Roma. According to the English newspaper The Sun, José Mourinho, the current coach of the Italian team, wants to take charge of Ronaldo again.

The compatriots worked together from 2010 to 2013, when Mourinho was Real Madrid’s coach, but their relationship had moments of tension and some controversies.

In addition to Roma, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have been pointed out by the European press as others interested in the star’s situation.

Cristiano Ronaldo decided to return to Manchester United in August 2021, imagining repeating the success he had at the club when he emerged into world football, between 2003 and 2009. At 37, the Portuguese has a contract with the Manchester club until June 2023. There are six games without scoring, CR7 is experiencing the biggest drought of goals per club since 2009.

While the situation of shirt 7 remains undefined, Manchester United turns its attention to the Champions League. The team faces Atletico Madrid in the round of 16 of the tournament. The first leg is scheduled for next Wednesday, February 23, at 17:00 (Brasília time), at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
