Russian figure skaters win Olympic silver in ice dancing

Russian figure skaters Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov won silver medals in ice dancing at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing. This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.

In total, they scored 220.51 points for two rentals. The winners were the French Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Sizeron, who received 226.98 points. In third place are Americans Madison Hubbell and Zachary Dohonyu with 218.02 points.

Two other Russian couples failed to make it into the top five. Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin took sixth place (205.07 points), and Diana Davis and Gleb Smolkin became 14th.

Together with the Russian national team, Sinitsina and Katsalapov won the team tournament of the 2022 Olympics. However, the skaters did not receive gold medals, as the awards ceremony was postponed due to a positive doping test by Kamila Valieva.
