Russian biathlete refused to talk to reporters at the Beijing Olympics

Russian biathlete Svetlana Mironova refused to communicate with journalists at the Beijing Olympics. Her words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

“I don’t like the way you write about me,” Mironova said after the pursuit. The athlete said that she would no longer give comments on the recorder during the Olympics.

On Sunday, February 13, Mironova took 41st place in the pursuit. On February 11, in the sprint, the athlete took 47th position. According to the results of two races, the biathlete did not get into the mass start.

On February 11, the President of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR), Elena Vyalbe, announced a boycott of Norwegian journalists. She noted that the refusal to communicate with media representatives was caused by the Norwegians’ statements about doping among Russian skiers. “Some idiots decided to become readable and covered up the failure of the first race in this way. I can’t calmly react to this, ”said the head of the federation.

The Beijing Olympics will run until February 20. Domestic athletes compete under the auspices of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC).
