Suárez scores twice, and Atlético de Madrid seeks a draw with leader Real Sociedad for Espanyol

This Sunday, the Atlético de Madrid tied with Real Sociedad, at home, 2-2, for the 10th round of the Spanish Championship. The match played at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium featured goals from Alexander Sorloth and Alexander Isak for the visitors, while Luis Suárez scored twice and equalized for the home team.

With the result, the team from the capital occupies the 4th position and has 18 points. The San Sebastián team, with 21, sleeps in the lead of LaLiga.

Atlético return to the field on Thursday, at 16:30 (GMT), when they face Levante away from home. Real Sociedad, in turn, will face Celta de Vigo, far from their domains, at 14:00.

The game – The visitors, under the command of Imanol Alguacil, opened the scoring six minutes into the first half, with Sorloth. The Norwegian received a pass from Isak on the right and, facing the goal, only hit under the goalkeeper. The Swedish striker, on the other hand, extended the score to three in the second stage, after a beautiful free kick in Jan Oblak’s corner.

The reaction of the home team, coached by Diego Simeone, began in the 16th minute, with a goal by Suarez. At 32, the Uruguayan scored with a penalty, left everything the same in the Spanish capital and sealed the 2-2 draw.
