The return of Ecuadorian Erick Bone to a boxing card in the United States will finally materialize on Friday, February 25 at the White Sands Event Center, in Plant City (Florida), after the company Probox Promotions decided to postpone the event until this month due to to the last outbreak of COVID-19 last January.

Ecuadorian welterweight Erick Bone (25-6) will face American Mark Reyes Jr. (14-1), in the 147-pound division, in the co-main event of the show ‘It’s Time to Fight’ starring Kanat Islam (27-0) and Jimmy Kelly (24-2).

Before the presentation of the 33-year-old from Porto, José Miguel Borrego (19-3) will face Peter Dobson (14-0).

Bone returns to ring after almost a year, when in March 2021 he defeated the Mexican José García by technical knockout in the main fight of the promoter Century Boxing in an event organized at the Voz Andes Recording Center, in Quito, the city where he is serving the last phase of the camp training with Andrés Muñoz from the capital.

The man from Manabi, who has 25 wins -12 by knockout-, has been in the ring with world-class boxers such as Shawn Porter and Chris Algieri, both in 2015 in the United States.

In October 2018, he became the South American champion of the welterweight division (147 pounds) of the World Boxing Council (WBC). (D)
