The winner was the Norwegian Marte Ulsby-Røiseland, who covered the distance in 20 minutes 44.3 seconds and did not allow a single miss. The Russian woman missed twice and was 1 minute and 0.5 seconds behind the winner. In second place was Sweden’s Elvira Öberg, 30.9 seconds back with no misses. Italy’s Dorothea Wierer finished third with no penalties, 37.2 seconds back.
Other Russians could not get into the top 10. Uliana Nigmatullina is 13th, Irina Kazakevich is 20th. Svetlana Mironova dropped below 40th place.
Reztsova is a bronze medalist at the Beijing Games. Together with Uliana Nigmatullina, Alexander Loginov and Eduard Latypov, she took third place in the mixed relay.
On February 12, the men’s sprint will be held as part of the Beijing Olympics. The race will start at 12:00 Moscow time.
