Bitci Baskonia conceded its fourth consecutive loss in the Euroleague after fall this Thursday at the hands of AX Armani Exchange Milan (89-78) at the Mediolanum Forum on the 26th day of the regular phase.
The start of the match was not good for Baskonia, since the local team endorsed it 8-2. However, the team from Vitoria managed to reduce their deficit (8-5 and 11-8), but in the final stretch of the first quarter, Milan opened a gap on the scoreboard (21-10).
Neven Spahija’s men managed to close the gap at the start of the second quarter (24-17), but when the local team was in trouble, the triples gave them air again. Based on triples, Armani Milan reaped a 15-point advantage when reaching relegation (40-25).
Another new acceleration at the end of the third quarter was a hint of Vitoria’s reaction but those at home, without a doubt, sentenced immediately with two baskets by Devon Hall (66-48).
Baskonia tried to make up the score in the last round and finally succeeded, although the final result was a defeat by 89-78.
