President of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR) Elena Vyalbe announced a boycott of Norwegian journalists. It is reported by “Sport-Express”.
Vyalbe noted that the refusal to communicate with media representatives was caused by the statements of Norwegians about doping among Russian skiers. “Some idiots decided to become readable and covered up the failure of the first race in this way. I can’t calmly react to this,” she said.
Vyalbe demanded an apology from the Norwegian journalists. “This is a violation of every conceivable or unthinkable rule. Neither I nor my athletes have ever remembered the disqualification of their athletes, of which there were many, ”she explained.
After the victory of Russian Alexander Bolshunov in the skiathlon, NRK journalist Jan Petter Saltvedt wrote that the champion and his compatriots should not be at the Beijing Olympics. Denis Spitsov, who became the silver medalist in the race, called these words a provocation. He recalled that Norwegian athletes also had problems with doping.
