Ma³ysz spoke about the future of Kruczek and Doleżal in the Polish team

Dawid Kubacki won the bronze medal on Sunday in the individual competition on the normal hill na. The Japanese Ryoyu Kobayashi, who was reliable this season, won the gold, and the silver was also unexpectedly awarded to Austrian Manuel Fettner.

Unfortunately, it was only the first real success in Polish ski jumping not only at the Olympics, but in general throughout the season. On top of that, you can only count third place in the World Cup competition in Klingenthal.

Posada Dole¿ala saved? “The pressure has gone out of him”

Due to the poor attitude of Polish jumpers, this season there were voices demanding dismissal. The Kubacki medal changed the situation a bit, and the director of our team, Adam Ma³ysz, does not rule out that it will also be possible to compete for more on the large hill. – Poles are in the right place. They know what they can do. They will fight. Michal Dole¿al relaxed. He is a very calm trainer. A well-balanced person. He keeps emotions inside, instead of exploding. On the one hand it is good, on the other hand it is not. On Sunday, after the bronze medal, the pressure dropped from him – admitted the former jumper in an interview with the portal.

– I talked to him last night. He did not sleep for a long time. He was pleased. Criticism was needed. He said it himself. I have a similar opinion on this subject. Michal emphasized that bad words were needed in order to motivate and act. They got a strong kick. They are doing their job – he added.

Ma³ysz calms down the village of Kruczek. “We will conduct talks”

The situation in the national team of the women he manages looks much worse. The 46-year-old coach was also censored after the disastrous performances of our jumpers in Beijing so far. – We can’t fire Raven anymore. We have to obey Luke’s plan. Depends on what he has in mind, how he sees it in the future. There are always such discussions after the season – admitted Ma³ysz.

– It’s definitely not good. We have definitely higher expectations. There is no progress. It is obvious that this is not the same job as with men. Women are more sensitive. They need more understanding. You should approach them individually, calmly. The expectations that we had with regard to the current staff were not fully met. After the games and at the end of the season, we will be discussing this. We will ask you what to do next and how to arrange it further – concluded the four-time Olympic medalist.

On Friday at 12 Polish time will start qualifying for the competition on the large hill (HS 140). The fight for medals is also scheduled on Saturday at 12. On Monday there will be a men’s team competition.
