OK Maribor did not turn out to be a difficult rival for the Polish team on Tuesday. The Slovenes have not yet won a single set in this edition of the Champions League and have not managed to break it also in the match against. In each of the won games, the Polish runners-up quickly gained a few-point advantage and were able to bring it to the very end. They won the next sets very confidently – until 19, 11 and 21 and they won 3-0 throughout the game.
On the side of ZAKSA, the best player was who scored 16 points.
The Polish runners-up with 10 points are second in group C, losing a point to the leading Cucine Lube. For the quarter-finals to which the team from Kędzierzyn-Koźle still need two or three points, ZAKSA will fight away – on Saturday, February 12 with Lokomotiv Novosibirsk (the match was originally to be played in Kędzierzyn-Koźle, thanks to the substitution, ZAKSA avoided a quarantine forfeit) and on Wednesday February 16 with Cucine Lube Civitanova.
Earlier, another Polish team, Jastrzębski Węgiel, secured their promotion to the quarter-finals, after the Polish champions won all four matches so far in group A without losing a set.
