Chelsea had no mercy and beat Norwich City 7-0 in the Premier League

Mason Mount was the man of the match by scoring a hat trick, which keeps the team at the top of the table with 22 points.

Chelsea made blood this Saturday and nailed him a 7-0, with a hat trick from Mason Mount, to a Norwich City that is predestined to return to the Championship (English Second Division) sooner rather than later.

Daniel Farke’s men, whose work is hanging by a thread, have only achieved two points in nine games and have only scored two goals, while they have received 23.

Chelsea’s win this Saturday at Stamford Bridge was not a surprise. The BluesDespite the casualties of Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner in attack, they ran over them. This was the first time in nine years that Chelsea have scored seven goals at Stamford Bridge, after the eight they scored at Aston Villa in December 2012.

Mason Mount (8 ′), the man of the match, broke a streak of 25 games without seeing the door to make the first with a hard shot from outside the area.

The party continued Callum Hudson-Odoi (18 ′) with a heads-up against Tim Krul after a measured pass from Mateo Kovacic. Before the break, Reece James (42 ′) made the third with a mince in front of Krul after a masterful pass from Mount.

Farke was sunk on the bench and the Norwich fans knew that a tough second half was coming, with a broken team. And things only got worse. Ben Chilwell (57 ′) put the fourth with a low shot and Max Aarons (62 ′) got the fifth in his own goal while attempting to clear a Hudson-Odoi center.

To the more disgrace of Norwich, Ben Gibson was sent off for a double yellow with 25 minutes remaining and when they were called a penalty against and Krul stopped Mount, the referee ordered a repeat because the Dutchman had gone ahead. To the second, Mount no longer erred (85 ′). Nor did he do it in the seventh (90 + 1), when he defined a great play by Loftus-Cheek on empty goal.

And that, if it had not been for the interventions of Krul, who saved four goals scored, the defeat could have been much more dramatic for the Canaries.

Chelsea increase their advantage in the leadership of the Premier, with 22 points, four more than Liverpool, while Norwich is bottom with two units. (D)
